Originally issued in 1991 and retired in 1994, this piece features Bernard, a large warm and welcoming brown bear wearing a bright red shorts that are held together with a safety pin at the rear. Born in Cockney London Town, Bernard is seen here taking charge of his fruit and veg stand on the market. He has a fine array of colourful produce for sale.
