~ Peter Fagan ~ ~ Opening Night M1 ~
Made of cold cast resin and hand painted in Scotland, this Colour Box piece has been originally hand sculpted by artist Peter Fagan who is more than an artist. He is also a collector. Peter shares his collections by modelling perfect miniatures of those that are close to his heart. This Colourbox piece measures approximately 4½ inches tall and in mint condition. Originally issued in 1994 this is the piece that was offered to Colour Box Collectors Club Members as a complimentary gift on either joining for the first time or renewing their membership. This piece features characters performing on stage from all the Colour Box ranges including Tick Tock Ted dressed as a clown a black and white cat, one of the Whistler Mice and one of the Personality Pups. There are two mould versions of this piece. On mould 1 the diamonds on the curtains were freehand painted on and is also more elaborately painted. On Mould 2, the diamonds on the curtains are cut into the mould as a guide for the painters and there is a distinct lack of decoration.
