~ Peter Fagan ~ ~ Sail Away ~
Made of cold cast resin and hand painted in Scotland, this Colour Box piece has been originally hand sculpted by artist Peter Fagan who is more than an artist. He is also a collector. Peter shares his collections by modelling perfect miniatures of those that are close to his heart. This piece is part of the Teddy Collection. It measures approximately 4½ inches tall and was issued as a Collectors Club member’s piece in 1993 and was only available for a year. The piece had to be ordered from retailers by presenting a Redemption Certificate supplied with the Club newsletter. Every piece was presented with a certificate of authenticity. Three bears from the Teddy Collection are featured on this sculpture, Davey, Binkie and Ben. They have set sail on a boat made from an old tin bath and wooden planks from an old shed.
