~ Peter Fagan ~ ~ Sullivan ~
Made of cold cast resin and hand painted in Scotland, this Colour Box piece has been originally hand sculpted by artist Peter Fagan who is more than an artist. He is also a collector. Peter shares his collections by modelling perfect miniatures of those that are close to his heart. This piece is part of the Teddy Collection and measures approximately 2¼ inches tall. Originally issued in 1992 and retired in 1994, this piece features a bear who lived in Ireland for the first few years of his life before moving to Manchester. Sullivan was found by a lorry driver after he had fallen from his owner’s pram. He spent a long time travelling the country before finally ending up in London at an auction. Sullivan also has a cousin in the Colour Box collection - Shiner A Colourway of Sullivan was created for a promotion at ‘Just Right’ (or in Welsh ‘I’r Dim’) in Denbigh to celebrate the shop’s tenth anniversary in 1993.
