~ Peter Fagan ~ ~ Teddy Randell (Blue) ~
Made of cold cast resin and hand painted in Scotland, this Colour Box piece has been originally hand sculpted by artist Peter Fagan who is more than an artist. He is also a collector. Peter shares his collections by modelling perfect miniatures of those that are close to his heart. This piece is part of the Teddy Collection and measures approximately 1½ inches tall. Originally issued in 1991, this piece features a bear that once belonged to a little girl who loved him dearly. When she became very poorly and had to go into hospital, Teddy Randell naturally went with her, until one day a nurse picked him up and carried him away to a quiet room. There he met a bear called Squidge and they became very good friends. Shortly afterwards they were both auctioned and came to live with Peter Fagan. Teddy Randell was originally sculpted to raise money for the Royal Hospital for Sick Children (known affectionately as The Sick Kids) in Edinburgh. There are a number of colour variations to the heart badge that were used for different charity events. This particular piece is the Blue version that was launched at The Sick Kids Fun Day and then made available to collectors through their stockists. All the profits from the sales for one year raised £10,000 that was given to the appeal. The other colours include; Pink, Gold, Green, Purple and a recently discovered version of White and Blue. Teddy Randell also appears on the piece School Room. We have many other items in our Ebay Shop, Click here to see what we have. Click here to view our other auction items.
